Star Trek vs Star Wars

I grew up watching Star Trek reruns on Channel 13 KCOP in Southern California. The walls in my bedroom (which I shared with my twin brother) were covered with posters of Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Scotty, etc. Then, in May of 1977, a little movie called Star Wars came out and the world changed.

I’ve been asked a number of times which franchise I like more and it’s never an easy answer because they both mean a lot to me. But, as I’ve thought about it over the years, I’ve come to the conclusion that Star Trek appeals to my logical left-brain whereas Star Wars appeals to my emotional right-brain. I could go on I suppose but I’ll just leave it there.

Erbe Tacos

Erbe tacos is a very simple food and one that all of ue Erbe kids grew up eating. It’s made like any regular taco, fried tortilla stuffed with meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, but what makes the difference is the meat is ground beef mixed with pork and beans and the taco is topped with ketchup in place of traditional hot sauce. Of course, you can use hot sauce in lieu of ketchup (I usually do that msyelf) but the truly traditional Erbe Taco is most definitely topped with ketchup.
